About us

The company DCM Collagen was founded towards the end of 2013 with a goal of focusing on the research and production of lyophilized collagen. The company was founded in 2013, however, its history goes back to 1992, when Dalibor and Marcela Cichý started to supply pharmacies. Since 1995, when Colafit started to be produced our specialization has been pure crystalline lyophilized collagen which is presently a part of products focused on the joint issues. Since 2014 when we merged with the company Apotex ČR, we have not been burdened with distribution, logistics, and marketing and we have fully been devoting ourselves to the production and development of collagen. In 2016 we launched cooperation with General University Hospital in Prague on the development of vascular replacements from special collagen.  In the same year we also registered our company for a project TRIO with the name New Materials on the Basis of Collagen and Cellulose for Medical Purposes, that was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The goal of this project was a research of materials with versatile use in medicine:

• active haemostatic with collagen in surgery
• haemostatic cover for traumatology
• new materials for healing inuries that heal badly and tissue regeneration  

Although this project had been recommended by a professional advisory authority - the Council of the TRIO program, for reasons of given spending limits it was not subsidized from public means.  

Yet we keep working on the project as such a type of haemostatic from collagen is not available and for its excellent properties when stopping bleeding it is highly demanded by experts. Between 13. - 16. 11. 2017 the international trade fair MEDICA 2017 takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany and we are going to be present as well. If you are planning to attend the fair we will be pleased to see you at our booth - Hall 16, place E58.

Medica is the largest international trade fair of its kind in the world and ranks among ten largest international fairs. The target group is primarily the professional public – doctors and medical personnel, managements of hospitals, nursing homes and laboratories, health equipment deales, representatives of health industry and insurance companies.
